About Treasure Island Treasure Island is located on Florida's Gulf Coast just west of the Tampa/St. Petersburg area. With Madeira Beach to the north and St. Pete Beach to south, Treasure Island offers a unique laid back life style while being in the back yard of a major metropolitan area. On Treasure Island you can spend your morning on a secluded stretch of beach and your afternoon at a Major League Baseball, NHL of NFL game. Or, by dinner time be at one of Florida's major attractions in the Orlando area. Treasure Island's number one attraction is the beach which run the length of the island giving you about 3 miles of uninterrupted beach to stroll upon. The first thing you will notice about Treasure Island is that we have a brand new bridge. Fifty some million of your tax dollars paved your way to Treasure Island. As you cross the bridge you get a birds eye view (well a low flying bird) of Treasure Island. Treasure Island's downtown area is dominated by the City's landmark Clock Tower. There are many stores and restaurants in the Treasure Island downtown area for your eating and shopping pleasure. Gulf Blvd. runs the length of Treasure Island taking you north to Madeira Beach and the John's Pass area or to the south to Sunset Beach and onto St. Pete Beach.
